ABOUT

Writing Journey

When I was fourteen years old, while sweeping my grandmother’s house floors, I listened in the radio a song titled, “El Problema” by a songwriter from Guatemala named Ricardo Arjona. His metaphors, philosophy, break of some grammar rules and word play, made me fell in love with writing. Consequently, I asked my mother to buy me a guitar and taught myself how to play it and how to write songs. I read the dictionary every day to enrich my vocabulary to be able to express the ineffable.

A few months later, my interest shifted and even though I didn’t abandon songwriting, I begun to write short stories. However, I knew that my stories would have more reach if I learned English as good as I could. It took time, but I am a patient person. And after three years, while I had a full-time job, I was part of the ARMY reserves and I freelanced as a personal trainer and a graphic designer, I wrote, edit, and published my first book.
